Setting the value with root permission automatically seems to set it for my regular user with the same values. I just verified this on my system.
So after editing the values, both my root and regular user on my system have the exact same values showing for both keys. I don't know what is overriding those values, but something in the system seems to really ignore the changed settings. Rebooting doesn't work either. If there is anything else I can check for you to clarify the problem, please let me know. -- Hardy: gconf-editor changed settings ignored by system https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/203877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
