Think I got it. Since it was breaking while playing the same files, and I think g_str_hash() refers to string management, manually edited the file's tag. After that, rhythmbox does not crash again, at least not with those tag edited files, and at least not for the same g_str_hash() issue.
Can anybody confirm this? I guess the problem is that the file's original tag was edited with iso8859-1 charset, and maybe some wrong character got into the tag. Now the tag was edited with UTF-8. -- rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in g_str_hash() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/193457 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
