Yes, still an issue. I bought a not too new radeon X800 pci-e and I'm using the open source radeon driver now. I though either the integrated controller or the closed source fglrx drivers were part of the problem. I've read that evdev breaks again the multiuser configuration in Hardy, and that's why I haven't tried it yet. It was real pain to get evdev to work in Gutsy. And since this is the computer that my family uses for everything, I can't have it down too long. I guess that's why I choose Ubuntu in the first place. I'll try Hardy on a different partition over the weekend.
