Public bug reported:

It seems that when running on battery power that the monitor will go
out. I can manually adjust brightness when it goes out the first time,
but when it goes out the second time, I can't do anything to bring it
back up. I also can't break out of Gnome, so I'm assuming it has
something to do with the machine going into hibernation or something. My
battery settings are set to never go into sleep mode. It may be related
to the improper reporting of the battery life, but the only setting I
have set is to shut down. It's important to mention that the laptop
actually stays on (power is on and HD activity is regular, but display
will not return). I'm on a System76 Pangolin v2
