Public bug reported:
Using gnome right-click menu to "send to" an evolution email can be
created and saved for later, but evolution is left running in the
background. Here are steps to reproduce:
Using nautilus, right click on any file and select the "Send to" option
from the context menu.
Make sure the "Send as" option is set to "Email (Evolution)".
Enter anything into the "Send to" box and click "Send" button.
A "Compose Message" window is correctly opened with the attachment added
as it should be.
Click "Save as draft" and close the window (using the X or File->Close.)
Note that Evolution is not displayed as running in the task bar.
Check processes for different evolution processes: ps -ef | grep
evolution
Note process still running with previously created and closed email.
Log out of gnome and log back in
Evolution will start as if you left it running in the previous session
(I have save session switched on)
This is obviously not a huge deal (and can easily be worked around,) but is
annoying because any time I use the Send To feature, that means the next time I
log into my system, Evolution will pop up.
Version information:
Ubuntu Desktop 7.10 with all updates applied
