This probably isn't the right place to ask that question (you may get a better response over on http://answers.launchpad.net ) but if your card really is a Quadro 100M (and isn't something else in disguise) then it looks like binary-only NVIDIA drivers for it do not yet exist. The list of supported cards in the 171.06 driver is here: http://us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/171.06/README/appendix-a.html . The Quadro 100M isn't listed (and bear in mind the nvidia-glx-new driver shipped with Ubuntu Hardy is_169.12 which is older). If this assessment is the case only NVIDIA can tell you when binary only drivers will be ready for your card and none of the binary-only drivers that will ship in Hardy will support your hardware...
