I mean showing only installed applications in fact.

Things like used disk space I added by the way. However, I was inspired
by apt. It show how many space will be freed when removing a package.
Try to type: "sudo apt-get remove some-application". Of course,
approximately.

I think difference between Synaptic and GAI should be quite simple. GAI
should install only GUI applications and addons useful for every user
(like codecs, flash plugin). It should be user-friendly and not bloated
with extraneous features.
