Public bug reported:
After unmounting and removing an SD card, I insert it again and again,
but it does not open in Nautilus, neither it is shown on the desktop nor
the computer:/// folder.
These lines appear in /var/log/messages any time the card is inserted
(and the actual device is created in /dev):
Mar 31 18:33:10 teaquetzl kernel: [10185.574950] mmc0: new high speed SD card
at address b368
Mar 31 18:33:10 teaquetzl kernel: [10185.575336] mmcblk0: mmc0:b368 SDC
1960448KiB
Mar 31 18:33:10 teaquetzl kernel: [10185.575372] mmcblk0: p1
/var/log/daemon.log:
Mar 31 18:39:50 teaquetzl NetworkManager: <debug> [1206963590.686380]
nm_hal_device_added(): New device added (hal udi is
'/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pci_1180_822_mmc_host_mmc_card_rca45928').
So I suggest, the bug is somewhere on the GNOME side, not in the kernel/HAL.
My system is ASUS F3Ka laptop, running Hardy and Gutsy here's the
revelant lspci info:
08:01.1 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host
Adapter (rev 22)
08:01.2 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C843 MMC Host Controller (rev 12)
