** Description changed: - Binary package hint: kdesktop - As a people photographer I often have portraits as my desktop wallpaper. Unfortunately, the one positioning I used most in KDE 3.5 "Maxpect" doesn't appear to be available in KDE4. The only options I see are "Scale & Crop", "Scaled", "Centered", "Tiled" and "Center tiled". The "maxpect" option used to maximize the background image size while keeping its aspect ratio, and without cropping anything off the borders. Ubuntu release: Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release: 8.04 Codename: hardy - kdesktop: - Installed: 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu5 - Candidate: 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu5 - Version table: - *** 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu5 0 - 500 http://nl.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status + I'm not sure which package manages the desktop background settings in + KDE 4.
