Public bug reported:
On both gutsy and hardy, I'm using ppas to get the latest bzr and
bzrtools. However, this blocks partial upgrades for update-manager in
both releases.
The problem appears to be that the ppas cannot be authenticated, and u-m
is none too smart about what to do next. I'd like to be able at least
to tell it to ignore the lacke of authentication for these packages, but
there's no way to do this. If that's not reasonable, then Partial
Upgrade should not be presented as an option if you can't effectively
choose to do so.
Fortunately, normal Install Upgrades continues to work fine.
It would also be nice to get more specific information about what's
triggering the Partial Upgrade. My suspicion is the unofficial bzr
packages, but then this dead-end is even more frustrating.
