Public bug reported: Suspend to RAM (Fn+F3) works on my Thinkpad R61 (8919-6VG), but when i try to resume the Shift and CapsLock LEDs light up it reads a bit from the HDD and then does nothing. Screen is black all the time. <CTRL><ALT><DEL> is needed to reboot.
I tried Kubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 beta with all Updates (31.03.2008). I have tried several possible solutions as described in: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_7.10_(Gutsy_Gibbon)_on_a_ThinkPad_T61 What i tried in different combinations: $ /etc/default/acpi-support SAVE_VBE_STATE=false POST_VIDEO=false HIBERNATE_MODE=platform MODULES="iwl4965 iwlwifi_mac80211 cfg80211" #WLAN DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH=true $ /boot/grub/menu.lst # defoptions=quiet splash acpi_sleep=s3_mode With proprietary and without proprietary driver for nvidia quadro NVS140. I made a resume debug as described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend without any modifications in acpi-support or menu.lst Greets ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 8.04 hardy r61 resume suspend thinkpad -- suspend to ram resume does not work Thinkpad R61 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/209790 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
