Hi Jerome,

Sorry for the delayed response. It's a constant battle to keep up with
bug reports in a timely fashion. It's something that we're obviously
trying to improve upon so we appreciate your patience. But thanks for
all the testing and the updates.

First it would seem that the issue of your machine not booting was
resolved with an updated kernel? 2.6.24-12.22? Or you literally
reinstalled the same version and it started magically working?

Also, if you can open a new bug report regarding the X issue you saw
that would be great.

And for future reference, you can manage the status of your own bugs by
clicking on the current status in the yellow line and then choosing a
new status in the revealed drop down box. You can learn more about bug
statuses at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status . For example, after
you provided the requested information, feel free to flip the status
from Incomplete back to Confirmed. Or if the bug is resolved, go ahead
and mark it Fix Released. Thanks again for taking the time to report
this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Feel free to submit any
future bugs you may find.
