Binary package hint: grep
When I run the following commands from the gnome terminal:
$> cd /
$> grep -lir "blah" *
For some reason this causes the display in X windows to become
completely corrupted and show garbage all over. I need to restart X
(Ctrl-Backspace) in order to get this to disappear.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10, Kernel 2.6.22-14, and radeon video drivers.
Please advise if you need further information.
I've attached a screenshot of what my output looks like after running
this command.
