I am having the same problem with web sites that requires an authentication
through a 401 Auth requested type error.
This is on Firefox-3.0~b4+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 on Hardy.
The problem cannot be reproduced on Firefox 3.0 b4 on MacOSX.
There are no errors displayed by firefox on stderr when invoking it through the
command line.
