okay, I've now tested the packages from the PPA myself in a virtualbox, and the packages seem to work just fine for me.
I'd therefore recommend syncing the mentioned packages from unstable into hardy. Regarding my note about gnucash: I'm sorry for the misinformation, gnucash still needs to be ported to the new libaqbanking, which is not finished yet.
