Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager-core
Hi, I needed to patch a bug in vpnc and so built a package via apt-src, installed it, and had to lock/hold it's version in both synaptic, and aptitude, so that it didn't get updated by either package manager. The update-manager notifications seem to ignore the locked state of the package and offer it as as upgrade and so I always get a notification. I assume this is a bug, or, if it isn't, then am I missing a way of syncing different package managers package states?
