My gnome-panel is not responsing - it has "locked" itself. The strange thing is
that I was able to press the the network manager, and log onto my vpn. But, the
menu and everything else is not responsing.
Alt-F2 is not working, but I am able to create a launcher on the desktop
- so I got to the terminal.

What do I do now ?
I managed to kill the gnome-panel by starting the gnome-system-monitor, and
restart the panel. But what on earth is going on??
