Hum, strange about the the volumeid change (I must admit I am not entirely convinced).
Anyway, at the moment it looks like the origin of the fault could well be an intermittent hardware fault. I haven't got it fully confirmed yet but I suspect that for the time being it is probably better to close this bug.
