I can confirm this is an issue in MythTV 0.21 as well. It seems to be an
instability between audio channel switching with MythTV 0.21 and PVR-XXX
cards.
The script mentioned above works for the directtv.pl script but can be
modified for others. (Such as the external channel binary)
The script above would need to be added to the backend as the external
channel change command rather than whatever your current change command
is.
