Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gajim

Ubuntu 7.10
Gajim 0.11.2-0ubuntu1

With the contact roster vertically maximized. Clicking on the status
drop down results in the list being populated off the bottom of the
screen with a blank area above. The number of items displayed off the
screen depend on the status you were in initially. The list is written
relative to your original status. That is, if you're in "Available",
all other status options are initially written off the screen. However,
if you were in "Not Available" the three status options above it
(Available, Free for Chat, and Away) are written above it on screen
while the rest of the options are written below it off screen. Either
way there is a significant amount of empty space above (on screen) to
house the entire list. If you move the mouse to the bottom of the
screen the list scrolls up to fill the empty space and all options are
listed on screen.

I would expect that the application would make every effort to keep the
options displayed to the user on the screen rather than forcing the user
to scroll the list manually.

** Affects: gajim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
