Considering language-support-translations-en 8 as a solution to

Reinst Failed because of openoffice.org-l10n-en-gb
Reinst Failed because of openoffice.org-help-en-gb
I'd prefer not to use the synaptics workaround because I do not know it at all.
What shall I do now?????
