Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
when I login in Ubuntu 7.10 the notification area contains the battery
information, bluetooth manager and the nm-applet.If I click on the nm-applet
icon in the notification area I do not see any available wireless network.
Moreover if I remove the notification area from the panel and re-add it again,
the nm-applet disappears: so I run nm-applet& from a terminal and I can see the
network applet again but I still cannot manager wifi network connections from
there.
I'm experiencing this problem only since this morning after I reboot the
machine with the very latest updates from the ubuntu update manager.
I don't think this is a problem concerning with the wifi drivers 'cause if I
issue /etc/init.d/networking restart I can successfully reconnect to my
wireless network.
Thank you in advance,
Gaetano
