The issue is resolved. The openoffice.org-writer package wasn't installed correctly. After reinstalling, the program works fine and also opens correctly from command line.
** Description changed: After upgrading to Openoffice.org 2.4 and kernel 24-14 during automatic upgrades, there seems to be a slight error in the way the programs are opened through command prompt. Typing in "openoffice -writer" opens up Calc. Other openoffice programs (base, calc, and impress) open with their normal commands. The only problem appears to be with writer. Here is a desktop recording that shows what happens when you type in the commands. - http://nuclear-imaging.info/files/image/openoffice_commandline.ogg - Thanks -- Openoffice 2.4 command line opens incorrect program https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/211324 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
