Binary package hint: bash
A fresh Hardy install only has /etc/skel/.profile, whereas a
Dapper->current Hardy install has both /etc/skel/.profile and the old
/etc/skel/.bash_profile.
On upgrade, the old file should be removed if unmodified, or moved to
the new name if modified.
