Yes, the pairing started to work two (?) updates ago, and still seems to be working fine with the new 2.6.24-14 kernel. The only remaining problem is that I have to re-pair the devices - or at least one of them - if I leave the computer for any sustained period of time. But that's a minor nuisance in coamparison.
