Started out using Gnash.  Then switched to Flash when the former  did
not work in Firefox or Opera. Flash worked only in video. Switched back
to Gnash after receiving your reply. Still video only in Firefox. Opera
no video; no sound.  Through trial and error, discovered that no swf
decoder lib was installed. After a couple of by guess and by god
installs, all video clips on BBC appear to work in Firefox but not in
Opera. With all the thrashing about, can not determinel why swf decoder
lib was not installed.
