May I also add that:
1/ It used to work fine on 7.10
2/ I still can use smbmount command to mount the Windows shares and then browse
the folders/files using nautilus. Works fine.
3/ Not all Windows share give me the same problem. I have shares served by a
Windows 2003 server and it works but shares served by the file server box
(DLink DGM-660) are having problem. Even though they all work fine under 7.10.
