I just want to try and clarify a few things. . .
1) What version of the kernel you are running - cat /proc/version_signature
2) So does Hibernate now work as expected for you and now you are witnessing
issues with shutting down your system? Or is it that you are trying to
Hibernate and you no longer receive the error message as originally reported
but now the screen goes blank and the system hangs?
3) Can you attach your dmesg output.
4) Can you also attach the output of 'sudo lspci -vvnn'
