Public bug reported:
ALSA does not mute the speakers when booting with headphones plugged in
for the ALC888 Realtek HDA chipset. This has been reported by our
motherboard manufacturer to have been fixed upstream in the hg tip for
alsa-driver. However, I have not personally confirmed this information
for either alsa-driver nor alsa-kernel at this time.
