Good, looks like upstream is active on the bug. I doublechecked that
the quirk jesse provided hasn't been committed to their git tree, so I'm
guessing that they intend to look into it deeper and figure out a real
fix. If he comes up with a fix that they commit to git, make sure to
let me know and I can pull it in for Hardy. If a fix doesn't show up
soonish, I'll put in the quirk as a temporary fix for Hardy.
