Binary package hint: gvfs
On up to date Hardy, mounting an SFTP volume (I tested several) via the
Places menu always mounts the remote / (root) instead of the directory
specified on the connection panel.
I'd be glad to provide debug logs if required (and somebody tells me
where they're found).
