Thanks for looking at this. Unfortunately I have not tried Hardy yet, so I can't answer your question. I have just managed to get Gutsy running ok on my G3 (power PC) iMac. Problem is the PPC is no longer a supported architecture. This leads to issues with gstreamer and liboil3 which break much of the multimedia functionality. Dependancy problems relating to these two packages are keeping me back from upgrading much now and I am considering Debian as the next upgrade for this machine, but it is too strict to have the great hardware and user experience of Ubuntu.
To cut this short, I need to get round to putting Hardy on to my new PC when I build it. Then I will do some tests, for now I'm in Windows and Ubuntu Gutsy (on my G3 iMac). When this upgrade is complete I will do some more testing on openoffice. Regards, Matthew -- Want an e-mail address like mine?
