Problem:
Mislabeled and missing controls on mixers for HDA-intel with CMI9880
soundchipsets.
Caused by:
Missing model setting in alsa-base
Solution:
echo options snd-hda-intel model=full_dig >>/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base

Problem:
Volume controls don't work
Caused by:
Empty ~/.asoundrc
Solution:
copy attached .asoundrc file in ~
