by default sounds will not play for events such as new online contact,
new message, alarm etc
as a resolution would it be appropriate to include the packages 'sox'
and 'libsox-fmt-ao' as dependancies for amsn? this would enable sound
playback (via the sox 'play' command as specified in the default
preferences)
