Public bug reported:

Hi.

I just downloaded Hardy Beta 32-bit Alternate and threw it into the CD-Tray.
I booted up from CD and saw the Ubuntu logo with the usual menu "Install
Ubuntu", "Check CD for Defects", "Rescue a broken system", etc.

Unfortunately, the keyboard does not work at all at this stage.
Since there is no automatic launching of the installer after 30 seconds (as is
with the Live-CD), I am stuck here.
None of the keys work (except the Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock LEDs can be
controlled with the corresponding keys).
ESC doesn't work.

It is a PS2 keyboard. I tried plugging it out and in again, but that has
no effect either.

I will try that now with different keyboards and check whether the Live-
CD does the same.

I will report how it worked.

Nevertheless, this must be fixed.

regards
