Mplayer uses PulseAudio output by default in Kubuntu Hardy:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ grep pulse /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf
ao=pulse,alsa,
I don't have PulseAudio support by default in Kubuntu, hence every time
that I run mplayer, there is delay of a couple of seconds before
starting with alsa. Obviously I selected alsa in my ~/.mplayer/config
file, but I think that pulse shouldn't be the default.
