Public bug reported:

Consider:

$ xrdb -query | grep URxvt.font
URxvt*font:     xft:DejaVu Sans Mono-9

$ /usr/bin/urxvt

That starts a urxvt shell but it has the wrong font (it looks like
"fixed"). Checking with FvwmIdentify reveals that the window has class
"URxvt".

$ /usr/bin/urxvt -fn "xft:DejaVu Sans Mono-9"

That starts a urxvt shell with the intended font.

This worked fine in Dapper.

** Affects: rxvt-unicode (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
