Can you provide us with some more specific instructions on how to reproduce
this error?
For example:
* How did you switch to xfce?
* Does this happen with all git repositories or only a specific one?
* If you move your personal .gitconfig (and other $HOME/.git* files) out of the
way, does it still crash?
* Does gitk crash as well?
* Can you reproduce this bug with in the new Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 Beta?
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
