Public bug reported:

Release: Alternate CD 8.04 Beta amd64 made on March 19 download from
Ubunutu beta site.

Package: LTSP-server-standalone et. all version 5.0.40

Expected to insert usb stick on thin client and open files (e.g. pdf
jpg) with viewer apps.

Result was usb stick appeared on thin client desktop, file list was
viewable but files would not open in respective viewers (pdf, jpg),
received error: can not open that type.

Note: lts.conf in tftpboot has LOCALDEV=True. Client sees the flash
drive and files, but there is some error in reading the data in the
file. Flash drive file system is typical FAT format (no modifications
were made to its file system).

Secondary Issue: When admin is logged into server (directly) admin sees
the flash drive appear on admin desktop with an error message that media
can't be opened/read. User on thin client does not see this error
message.

** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
