I think I have the same issue... ** Can not specify XSERVER driver **

When booting with no lts.conf file, I saw some weird lines on the screen
of the client. So I setup the lts.conf file and specified the XSERVER
driver as "sis". After client reboot, I got the blinking cursor and no
ldm (whereas without the XSERVER specification I got ldm with the funny
lines). For now, I have downgraded to 16 bit color depth and 1024
resolution, and this seems to reduce the graphics issues (not
completely), but I believe I need to run the specific X driver to get
good results... anyway, is this the same issue?

Note: When I set XSERVER to "auto", I get the same result as with no
XSERVER specification (as expected).
