Does running 'sudo reiserfsck --check --logfile /tmp/check.log
/dev/sda9' report any errors in /tmp/check.log?

This may not be a bug. Did you see this problem on only one partition
or on one machine? Have you been able to reproduce this problem on
multiple machines?
