If you don't want to use the cdrom anymore, you should disable it in the
software-properties.

On dapper: System>Administration>Software Properties
On edgy: System>Administration>Software Sources

I don't think that there is a reasonable base on which we can guess if
the user really needs the cdrom at the moment or not.

Since the cd will only appear, if the system was installed with the
packages from the alternate cdrom, there seems to be reason why not the
internet sources have been used.

Even if we test the internet connection and the available bandwitdh
before the package fetching, we still cannot determinate if the user has
chosen only to install from cd by will.

It could be annoying for dial-up.users if we would trigger the internet
connection every time.
