DPKG returns python-gnome2
So many things were going screwy in the GUI that I decided to roll back
from the edgy install, reinstall dapper and get my production machine
up, so I just fdisked the whole thing and started again. The bug is
gone, but not exactly resolved.
I am going to see if I can get the same bug on the testing machine
(which never has any problems like this) and then I can be more useful.
This happened after an online aptitude dist-upgrade on a machine that I
had been using in productionfor over a year. My gut says it was all
because of how much gets put on the machine. I write books on network
security and my production machine was full of scripts for hacking
linux. I had at least half of Fydor's top 100 hacking tools installed.

have python-gnome-1.2 installed?
