This seems to be a bug with (at least) the intel driver, aparently it also exists for some version of ATI but i am unsure if that is being shipped with hardy. see http://www.mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2007-November/203037.html for more information, there is apparently a fix there too but it seems to involve patching and compiling the driver and i haven't done that as yet.
The simplest although sub optimal work around is to turn off openGL sync in the video settings. Makes things work ok on my machine, I also upped the RTC rate to 1024 as recommended by the myth documentation when you don't have GL for timing. perhaps the maintainer of xserver-xorg-video-intel could incorporate those changes until changes are made upstream? -- Gutsy upgrade to Hardy Alpha 2 broke mythfrontend video playback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
