** Summary changed:
- kernel 2.6.24-15 crashes on HP/Compaq 6715s
+ kernel 2.6.24-15 only works with noapic on HP/Compaq 6715s
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-15-generic
Hello!
When starting without options my HP/Compaq 6715s will hang after
entering the LUKS-Passphrase.
When using noapic as a Kernel-Parameter my system starts, but Disk
- performance is too slow to make the system usable. This problem with the
- Disk was already present in the 32-Bit version of Gutsy, but not in the
- 64-Bit-Version.
-
- I would be happy to deliver any Information you might need, but I am no
- expert, so you have to instruct me.
-
- Also I would like to say that the Kernel of Gutsy stated that a timer
- was not connected on startup, now this information is missing.
-
- Thank you a lot,
+ performance is too slow to make the system usable. (But this is another
+ bug)
regards,
Simon Waid
