Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: apt
Daily build of hardy-desktop-i386 April 8 running on Wubi rev 479.
In Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5 the flash plug-in does not install correctly -
neither when using the package manager nor when installing through the
browser.. Even though the installation process appears to run smoothly and
complete successfully - when you encounter a flash object the browser shows
"click to install missing plug-in" - and when you proceed you are told that the
plug-in is installed.
By fetching the plug-in myself as a tar.gz file I managed to install the
plug-in correctly when I indicated the Mozilla installation directory as
/usr/lib/firefox-3.0b5.
The apt version is indicated as synaptic 0.61Ubuntu8.
