Binary package hint: base-installer
After installing a Ubuntu 8.04 Server no DNS resolution had been possible.
- Configured Server manually, also entered two DNS Servers
- remote machines could be reached with their IP address
- resolv.conf had no 'nameserver' entries, only a 'search' entry (this one was
correct)
I also could reproduce this with a Ubuntu 7.10 Server installation on
the same Hardware.
