Hmmm. A few remarks When I "modprobe -r e1000" in a console, the kernel
panics immediately (well, after half a second or so). But with a
different trace back.
It seems to suspend o.k., when I do not load the fglrx kernel module.
Regardless if using the Ubuntu one or the self compiled 8.29.6 from ATI
it will reliably crash with the posted panic as soon as it is inserted.
I cannot remove this module while X is running, even in background ("is
in use"). There seem to be a few posts about this around in the net
regarding - mostly - Thinkpads. Either fast video OR suspend.
