** Description changed:
Binary package hint: firestarter
+ NEW NOTE AS OF 4/10/08: This problem went away when I uninstalled the
+ thinkfinger-tools package which allows users to authenticate with a
+ fingerprint reader.
- Clicking the launcher for the Firestarter GUI in Hardy does nothing. The
icon simply twirls then disappears. For a few moments afterwards, Gnome acts
unresponsive. The GUI never starts.

+ The icon simply twirls then disappears. For a few moments afterwards,
+ Gnome acts unresponsive. The GUI never starts.
I was able to get around this by typing at the command line:
gksudo /usr/sbin/firestarter
rather than using gksu.
Tested on an IBM Thinkpad X61 with Hardy Beta 1 installed.
Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)

PS: Firestarter should be installed by default in Hardy. I might even
- argue that it should be turned on by default.
