Please run the newest version of flash and you should no longer need libflashsupport for sound with pulseaudio, Please confirm the newest Ubuntu flash works as expected. As for the firefox not using it this will be fixed before release its a known issue, its installing into the firefox-2 profile instead of firefox-3.0 or even would be nice for it to be put in both.
